Ott-Light Learning Light

December 30, 2008

I read some studies claiming natural light improves grades and helps children to read for longer periods of time. My son wasn’t the quickest learner and it’s hard to keep his attention focused on his school work. I was browsing the internet and found The Learning Light at www.thelitesource.com. I decided to order it and have been so pleased with the results. My son does his homework without complaints now. He says The Learning Light doesn’t smell like it is going to cause a fire which sounds funny but he is always concerned about that when lamps get too hot. The Learning Light doesn’t produce heat but is still very bright. It doesn’t have a glare because it uses natural illumination. This makes it easy to read under for long periods of time. My son’s light is red and has become a favorite accessory of his while doing homework because all of his favorite race cars are the same cherry color. It is light in weight and portable. We love it because it folds up and his teacher lets up put it in his backpack and bring it to class. His teacher was telling us the other kids seem to enjoy it too. She wants to buy a couple to put around the classroom for their reading session. A study done by an engineer in North Carolina reported libraries with natural lighting have lower noise levels. The study also stated natural lighting induces positive moods making the light a batter choice for learning environments.
