The Kendall Floor Lamp is really a great choice for any bedroom or even an office space. It is elegant and sheik. The base of the lamp is brushed nickel. It is shiny and looks expensive but is not too flashy. The top of the lamp is balanced nicely with the circular shade. The shade is 10 inches long and the diameter is about 12 inches. This makes the light shine downward creating optimal lighting from its decent height. The bulb that comes with it is a 25watt Ott-lite bulb. The bulb is made with today’s best technology creating modern lighting consisting of low glare and low heat. The light is soft but clearly bright. The bulb lasts up to 10,000 hours. I decided it was time to redecorate my house. I moved into my husband’s parent’s house when we were first married. His parents moved out but their style was left behind. It has been twelve years and their ugly wallpaper is still plastered everywhere. I finally had the money and time to decorate the way I wanted to. I wanted my home to feel comfortable while marinating a classic style. I decided to go for natural colors such as tans and olive greens. Accessories made a huge impact in making my vision a reality. My favorite accessory is the Carolina Table Lamp I purchased. It’s sophisticated and charming appearance goes well with every room in the house. It has an expensive look but the price wasn’t bad. The antique bronze color is sleek and gives my home that specific vintage yet modern feeling I was going for. In addition to looking great, the lamp is eco-friendly producing very low amounts of heat. My husband leaves the lamp in his office on over night and it still doesn’t get hot. He says it’s great on his eyes. Beauty is important to me when choosing an appropriate lamp. I want the lamp to fit in with my décor and bring out the true essence of the room with superb lighting. If you are a fan of Ott-lite and have previously visited thelitesource.com, then you are already aware of the many great products offered. The 13watt self ballasted bulb is one of my favorite bulbs available. The bulb is only compatible with specific lamps and conveniently, I happen to own most of the lamps this bulb works with. If you own a lamp that can’t use the 13watt self-ballasted swirl don’t worry about it. There are many other sufficient bulbs offered. I just like this one because of its low glare and low heat feature. These features come in handy when I’m sewing and scrapbooking. The light never gets hot and never shines too brightly. It gives off plenty of light allowing me to illuminate an entire space. However, I have purchased a variety of lamps so I can choose to illuminate large spaces or smaller ones depending on the shade I use. I just switch out the bulb. The 13watt self-ballasted model B84J32 is mainly for crafting or projects requiring attention to detail. The bulb was actually made to increase the unnoticed things the average eye tends to miss. I am a jewelry designer. I like to make beautiful pieces of jewelry for my friends and family. Unfortunately, it doesn’t pay the bills so I have to work a ‘real’ job like the rest of the world. I do sell my jewelry at art shows here and there and the money sure does make a nice contribution to my bills. Making jewelry requires patience because I am constantly working with so many small objects. It definitely gets to be difficult at times. Scrapbooking is a time consuming hobby. Anyone who does it on a regular basis knows how expensive it can be. Both time and money are things I find valuable and I think others would agree. That is why, I like to be very detailed when scrapbooking. If I’m using my time and money on something then I want to try my best and make it perfect. This lamp is valuable because of its dual purpose. It is great for crafts or projects entailing lots of detail. In addition, it looks like a collector’s item. It is fashionable and looks great in any room it may be placed in. For example, this floor lamp sits in the corner of my office and really helps make the space appear a bit more sophisticated and professional. I bet it would look fabulous in my living room to the right of my sofa. I could probably even place it in my dining room. The point of this lamp is to increase color and detail.
